We recently got a new pastor and she happens to be female and I was surprised that some -- even women -- objected. I don't know why men continue to feel the need to exclude women, but I would have hoped the church would not be a place where it happens. They can cite Bible passages to rationalize it, but it doesn't really explain why they see them as a threat.
