… to say — yes, obviously Duo was capable of speech acts, but one could hardly call them “rational.” When are you ever going to go to France and need to say, Tu es une lampe or Je veux un pantalon pour mon fromage? So no, sweetie, to put it simply, Duo lacked the necessary sentience for perpetuity of being.
