Really interesting perspective. Of course, the woman was under no obligation to do so, but it never would even occur to me to say no!
I enjoy taking photos for strangers and always feel so thankful when they do the same for me. I see it as a small opportunity to strengthen the fabric of our society with a tiny stitch of connection. It renews my faith a bit to know that a stranger is willing to help me even with a simple task. And I like the feeling of helping someone else.
One question I always have asked my kids to consider when they wonder if they should or should not do something like this: What if everyone did that?
Personally, I believe a world where no stranger would be willing to take my photo would be a sadder one.
