I particularly appreciate this:

‘The definition, therefore, should be updated to align references to “high-quality protein sources” with the foods that both deliver the protein we need, those that most reliably enhance the quality of our health and protect that of the planet.’

For a long time I have been asking myself and others, “How healthy can a human diet be if it is unhealthy for the planet we live on?” It’s imperative that with a growing population with what seems to be an ever growing appetite, we finally prioritize the environmental effects of our dietary choices.

For all who are able to, I’d hope this would lead to a plant-based diet. This seems to be the wisest and most loving choice we can make for future generations (not to mention our own health and the well-being of animals). Luckily for us all, it’s never been easier.
